Max
ASD/ Speech Delay/ Sleep Challenges/ Gut Issues/ Social Interaction
Max’s journey has been filled with challenges since the very beginning. During pregnancy, his mom experienced a lot of stress, and Max was later induced.
After birth, he spent three days in the NICU. As an infant, he often arched his back and neck, and feeding was difficult—he had trouble latching while breastfeeding.
Throughout early childhood, Max faced repeated health struggles, including 10 ear infections. At around 18 months, he stopped talking altogether, which was very hard for his parents to see. In November 2021, Max was diagnosed with ASD.
Since then, his parents have worked hard to support him. They transitioned his diet to gluten-free, dairy-free, and dye-free. However, when he does eat dairy, he complains of stomach pain and gas. Sleep has also been a challenge—he goes to bed late, melatonin seems to make things worse, and he often wakes very early, around 5–6 a.m.
In addition, Max has faced regression with bathroom use, struggles with social anxiety, and continues to work through speech challenges.
After just two weeks in our Intensive Program, we began seeing encouraging improvements. Max’s sleep became more consistent, his speech started progressing again, and while social anxiety remains a challenge, he’s showing fewer outbursts, better focus, and easier transitions throughout the day. His teachers and therapists also noticed an immediate change in his behavior and engagement, which has been so encouraging for his family.
We are grateful for the progress he’s made and hopeful for what’s to come.
