Pediatric/ Autism/ OCD/ Anxiety/ Headaches
Kayelynn came to us a few months ago with a complex history including Autism, OCD, anxiety, chronic headaches, back pain, and noticeable muscle tension (knots in her back).
She has struggled with frequent headaches for years, especially triggered by bright lights and loud sounds. π‘π Her back pain began in summer 2025, and as an active gymnast π€ΈββοΈ who does regular strength training, her body was under constant physical stress.
Sensory challenges have been present since infancy β extreme sensitivity to lights, sounds, large crowds, and even certain clothing textures. She received speech therapy from ages 3.5β8, ABA therapy from 7β10 and recently restarted to focus on new goals.
She was diagnosed with OCD in May 2025 and began taking Zoloft in June 2025. In September 2024, she was also involved in a car accident when their vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a red light β another layer of stress on her nervous system. π
π Since starting care, Mom has noticed:
- Improvement in headaches
- Better tolerance to loud noises
- Less complaining and anxiety
- Easier to direct and more willing to listen
When layers of physical, emotional, and chemical stress build over time, the nervous system can become overwhelmed. Seeing Kayelynn make progress and regulate more efficiently has been such a blessing.
We are so proud of you, Kayelynn! π
