Many people go to the chiropractor because they are experiencing pain. During this first phase of care, our main goal is to get you out of pain and relief those symptoms. This typically requires visits three times a week for a couple of weeks.
Most people are under the assumption that if they don’t feel any pain that there is nothing wrong with them; that they are healthy. Unfortunately, pain is not a good indicator of health. In fact, you may not experience any pain until disease or other conditions have become quite severe.
-
Just because your pain is gone does not mean your problem has been fixed, in fact most chiropractors regard the elimination of your pain and symptoms to be the easiest part of your care. In order to prevent a rapid recurrence of the symptoms, it is necessary to continue treatment to truly fix the problem.
During the corrective care phase of your care, your frequency of office visits will reduce to two times a week for a few more weeks. Muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely to help prevent repeated injury.
-
Once your body has fully healed, routine chiropractic visits can help ensure that physical problems do not return. Usually a quick visit 1-4 times a month will maintain your new healthy spine. Just like continuing an exercise program and eating well in order to sustain the benefits of exercise and proper diet, it is important to continue chiropractic care as part of your healthy lifestyle.
I started going to Dr. Tim in Oct 2016 due to shoulder pain. He was able to not only help relieve the immediate pain, but explained and developed a plan to strengthen and correct underlying issues. He clearly explains the “what” and the “why” of the treatments and the exercises. I appreciate his vast, holistic knowledge, individual attention, and recommendations ranging from diet, ergonomics, stretches, essential oils and lifestyle. He’s so personable, humble and a joy to work with! He definitely gets 10 stars out of me and I well refer him to family and friends. Thank you Tim for making me feel so much better!

Chiropractic is a safe and effective treatment for pregnant women as it is a drug-free and non-invasive form of treatment. A pregnancy chiropractor, who is trained to work with pregnant women, will work with you and will adjust their techniques accordingly to help to relieve pain and discomfort throughout your pregnancy.
A prenatal chiropractor can also assist you during pregnancy to help you prepare for childbirth. He or she will use techniques suited for you that can help to align the pelvis and spine and reduce stress on the body. If you are considering chiropractic care during pregnancy, it is important to consult with your healthcare provider first to make sure it is right for you.

The webster technique is a chiropractic procedure that is used to help with breech presentations (when the baby’s feet or buttocks or both are in place to come out first during birth), which helps with positioning the baby. This technique involves adjusting the position of the pelvis and lower back, which can also help to reduce pain and improve the function of the pelvis and spine. Some research has shown that the webster technique can be effective in treating back pain during pregnancy.
However, more studies are needed to confirm these results. Hence, it’s always best to consult someone who’s well-versed in chiropractic for pregnant women. Overall, the Webster technique is considered safe for both mother and baby, and it may be an effective treatment option for pregnant women who are experiencing back pain.
-
OBs recommend the webster technique for pregnant women during the third trimester. This can help with normal delivery. Ultimately, it is up to the individual chiropractor to determine when the technique will be most effective for each patient.
At Maximize Chiropractic, we evaluate a patient first to see which treatment will fit them best for better results.
