Hunter

Epilepsy / Autism /  Sleep Issues / Balance / Speech

Hunter came to us two weeks ago. His mom shared his story ✨:

‘Hunter was diagnosed with epilepsy at 9 months old 💜, and around age 2 he received an autism diagnosis after he wasn’t meeting his developmental milestones. Hunter is a loving, smart, and funny little boy—full of personality and always finding creative ways to communicate his needs 🧠💬. He is very affectionate, and it’s clear he understands language 🤗.’

Pregnancy and early childhood were challenging for the family. Hunter’s dad contracted COVID in the fall of 2020 😷 and refused to quarantine, which added significant stress. Because Hunter’s sister had been born eight weeks early, his mom was placed on progesterone during pregnancy 🤰. Despite a fear of needles, she went to the hospital weekly during the pandemic to receive her injections—often with very little support 💉💪.

Hunter was breech, so his delivery required a C-section 👶✂️. He also had cordee tissue concerns, and at just 6 months old he underwent general anesthesia for circumcision and tissue correction surgery 🏥.

He has experienced seizures since 2021 ⚡.

After two weeks of intensive chiropractic care, Hunter’s mom has noticed meaningful changes in him 🌟. She shared that his speech has shown improvement 🗣️, he is beginning to play with toys when he previously did not 🧸, and his overall mood and regulation have improved 💛. She’s noticed more social interaction, increased eye contact, and far less side-eye ✨. She also reports that he listens better and is easier to redirect 💬➡️.

Although the family knows they still have a long way to go, they believe they can achieve Hunter’s goals together ❤️💫
