Junior

Junior’s story has been one of resilience since day one. 💪

His birth was traumatic—during labor, doctors couldn’t detect his heartbeat 💔 and nearly rushed his mother into an emergency C-section. A fast-acting medication brought his heartbeat back 🙏. After delivery, it was discovered that he had a long umbilical cord and low blood sugar levels, which resulted in a week-long stay in the NICU 🏥. That first week was filled with uncertainty, but Junior pulled through like a fighter. 💙

As he grew, Junior met all of his early milestones—crawling, walking, smiling 😊. However, around age 2, subtle changes began to appear. At his 2-year checkup, his pediatrician noticed he wasn’t yet forming 2–3 word sentences 🗣️. This raised a red flag 🚩 and led to an early start with speech therapy. By the time he turned 3, Junior was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 2 🧩.

Within just two weeks of starting a focused care plan, Junior showed noticeable progress 🌈. He began:

• Using his words more 🗨️
• Counting numbers 🔢
• Showing reduced self-harming behaviors 🙌

Ongoing improvements include:

• 🗣️ Speech & Social Skills: Junior now says specific words like “shoes” and other object names. He plays better with his brother 👦👦 and tolerates social interaction more easily.
• 💖 Emotional Regulation: Meltdowns have become shorter and less frequent.
• 🎧 Sensory Challenges: While much improved, he still covers his ears occasionally.
• 💩 Bowel Movements: Now regular—once daily—supported by pediatric chiropractic care.
• 🥦 Gut Health: After 6 months on the GAPS diet, along with increased probiotics and gut-healing foods, Junior’s digestion and mood have improved.
• 🏃‍♂️ Therapy & Activity: ABA therapy, physical activity, and a calm home routine have all played important roles in his progress.

The journey has been emotional and challenging for both Junior and his family 😔❤️. From a difficult birth to a complex diagnosis, they’ve faced many ups and downs. But thanks to early intervention, nutritional changes, and therapeutic support, Junior continues to grow and thrive 🌟.
